Production Area
Estate-owned vineyards located in the hilly area north of the town of Bibbona, on mixed clay soils rich in pebbles, well exposed to sunlight at an altitude of 60–70 meters above sea level.
Grape Variety
Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc.
Production Technique
Mistobosco is produced only from carefully selected, fully ripe grapes. Hand-harvested, followed by alcoholic fermentation and skin maceration for about 20 days. After racking, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barriques. Short wood ageing, then 6 months bottle ageing. Unfiltered wine; any sediment is a sign of authenticity.
Organoleptic Characteristics
Deep ruby red colour. Complex and harmonious bouquet with notes of ripe fruit and light vanilla. Intense, vinous and persistent palate, with soft and ripe tannins.
Food Pairings
Particularly suitable with first courses with game sauces, meat main courses and cheeses. Medium ageing potential wine. Alcohol content 14%–15%. Serve at 16–18°C.
